July 2010 - N/NE Hedge End Strategic Development Area plan dropped (this is an external link which has not been updated.) Since the 6000 homes Strategic Development Area north of Botley has been dropped Eastleigh Borough Council has granted Outline planning for 1,400 homes at Boorley Green and included 800 just off Woodhouse Lane in its draft Local Plan. This with the 300 within Botley will mean that 2,500 homes are due to be built in the area that was accepted as being inappropriate for the Strategic Development Area.
